About

About us

We’re a small rural farm near the Crazy Mountains, raising registered Nigerian dwarf goats for their amazing milk and the pure joy they bring to our lives.

Our goal has never been to become a BIG goat operation, though inspite of our small size, we strive for high quality.

We enjoy milking about 4 does each summer and try not to exceed that number to keep things manageable and avoid overwhelm. We don’t sell milk, but use it at our table and to feed our other animals(the dog and barn cats love fresh milk!)

We work to breed high quality goats that we enjoy and we believe others would enjoy as well. We spend intentional effort and time caring for our goats to give them their best life possible for our situation, and increasing their potential as quality dairy goats for show, milk production and as friendly, delightful pets with good temperaments.

I enjoy learning about genetics and breeding by the numbers, though I have much to learn. I think it’s important when breeding registered goats to breed the best animals you can and I try to improve the breed and keep them a strong dairy animal.

What we do

I’m thankful for these little creatures and feel very blessed to live this life, though the goats are only a small part of what we do. The goats are a hobby and potentially our daughter’s future 4-H project.

We earn our living as farmers & ranchers raising commercial beef cows and grain crops.

Honesty

When I sell goats for any reason, I’ll be transparent and honest about each goat’s strengths and weaknesses as I see them and straightforward about the reason for selling them. I would never “dump” my cull goats on anyone. Goat’s that are of lesser quality than I strive for with my herd name are sold unregistered.

Thanks for dropping by!

P.S. We don’t do social media, so you’ll find all our latest updates on the news page. You can subscribe to our news posts, which are basically quarterly except during kidding season when we may post about each birth as they happen.

I keep the site up to date, and maintain a waiting list for anyone interested in our goats, for which we offer a 10% discount and will contact you when goats become available.
