Breeding Plans & 2026 kidding results
*Please note: we do not do ultrasounds or pregnancy blood testing, so we can’t confirm that breedings took. All “breedings” are based on observation of heat cycles and buck placement. Plans are only tentative.

Our kids will be sure to get colostrum at birth (from their doe if possible, powder when not)and will be bottle fed and raised on a bottle using their mother’s colostrum and milk for the first week then transitioned to powder formula to bottle raise. We hope to move along baby goats to their new homes as soon as possible to lighten our load and begin milking the does.

First Freshening Does
We’re excited to freshen this nice coming two year old doe!
Jewel is sired by an AI bred buck, so she has an Old Mountain Farm grandsire(Meader Quinn). Her sire’s dam (Guinevere)has an outstanding udder and powerful will to milk.
Jewel’s dam (Nellie) was one of our main milkers in 2024 and had an easy to milk udder with larger teats like her dam.

Dusty is out of our favorite foundation doe, Flapper, whom we sold late this summer 2025 as we made a much needed herd reduction. She’ll be missed, so we’re thankful her daughter is still with us to carry on her legacy in the herd.
Dusty, like Jewel, is sired by our AI buck Kedar(Old Mountain Farm Meader Quinn grandsire!). We’re super excited to see this young doe freshen in 2026, assuming she settles. 🤞🏻
