We’re done kidding 2025

Coyote Kidz Flapper Girl

FLAPPER

Flapper kidded the first day of spring 3/20/25 delivering very healthy triplets! We’re delighted that she gave us two beautiful females and a very handsome little buck who we suspect is polled(TBD). One female will be retained. Photos coming soon!

FLAPPER X CRESCENDO buck

While I don’t have any buck reservations or request as of yet, any requests for a herd sire would take presidence over wether(castrated male) requests for Flapper’s buckling, as I believe this little guy would make quite an exceptional buck. Great udders behind him on both sides, and even more milk from his sire’s dam. The possibility of being polled is the icing on the cake! So far, I only suspect he is polled but I won’t say for sure as I’m new to polled genetics. I’m guessing it will become evident in a few days and will confirm whether he is naturally horned or polled before sold. Please contact me if interested, I’d be so happy to see this guy go as a buck.

NELLIE

Aspen Leaf Nellie

Nellie also kidded 3/20/25 with quad females-2 does were unfortunately dead when I discovered she had kidded, as I was unable to attend the birth. I suspect natural unfortunate causes of death(rough delivery, not licked off in time to breathe, or laid on) as they appeared very normal with no obvious abnormalities, and they were still all wet while she focused on the two living babies.

One female will be retained, the other will be offered to reservation and waitlist contacts first then posted on our for sale page if not sold. You may still contact me for notifications when goats are offered by joining the wait list or subscribe to our updates.

That concludes our kidding season, as we only had 3 does to deliver this spring.

Thank you for following along and for your interest in our goats. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has joined the wait list or made reservations. It means a lot to us to have homes potentially waiting to welcome the baby goats that we can’t keep to raise here in our small farm.

I will be reaching out to contacts on the wait list and reservation lists soon and I appreciate your patience as we select keepers first and make sure all the kids are healthy and thriving. I’m sorry we won’t be able to offer enough goats to meet all the interest we have had this year. Getting on the list early is always recommended if you’re determined to buy an Aspen Leaf goat. Contacts may remain on the waiting list if desired for next year. 😀

Doe sold

Cloudy, summer 2024

We said our bittersweet goodbyes to our 4 year old doe Cloudy, who went to her new pet home in early March. We’re assured she’ll be well loved and spoiled.

Her daughter Misty by our previous Krebs buck is still in the herd, and she is every bit as sweet and likable as Cloudy and we’re thankful to have her. We now also have a Cloudy grand-daughter by Misty and Crescendo who will be retained for now. She’s a dainty little thing and we call her Patti since she was born on Saint Patrick’s Day ☘️. 🥰

Plans for next year

Two breedings we’re planning for next year are our yearling does we retained from last year Dusty and Jewel out of FLAPPER and NELLIE by our buck Round Mountain MQ Kedar Quinn who was ai sired by Old Mountain Farm Meader Quinn. They will hopefully freshen as two year olds in the spring of 2026 and be bred to Tua Farms RMI Crescendo. See their planned pedigrees below!

Since we don’t like to exceed 3-4 bred does per season, we’ll wait and see which senior does will be bred and who may go dry for a season as we watch their offspring mature and milk. Breeding plans will likely be announced in the late summer/early fall, so if you want to stay in the loop, you can subscribe to our update emails.

Thanks again for your interest!
