Sandi was always a bit on the nervous side. Although bottle raised and given lots of attention and love, she just had a jumpy demeanor. She didn’t like the rake when I would clean around the feeders and she would always dance around when locked into the stancion for hoof trims and such. She enjoyed being pet and scratched, but just wasn’t an easy going or trusting goat when it came to maintenance.

We lost Sandi during some rainy weather when she had eaten a lot of wet legume hay and unfortunately we didn’t know she had bloated until morning when we found her. It was a hard loss, but we’re glad still have one of her daughters to raise up, Sunny. We never got to milk Sandi nor take any udder pictures which we are very sorry about…her littermate sister Cloudy’s udder can be viewed on her page for reference, though every animal is unique and littermates don’t always share the same traits.
